Amanda is a Peace Corps Environment volunteer currently serving in Madagascar, where she was transferred after spending six weeks training in Niger. Before joining the Peace Corps, she volunteered with sustainable agriculture projects in Guatemala, bicycled through Mexico, and worked on many farms in the United States, ranging from Minnesota to New Mexico. She has also worked with social services over the past 10 years, including managing a shelter for the homeless in southern California.
